In the Spring of 2004 Trans Tech installed a new digital dictation system to replace our existing digital software with Dataworxs. Dataworxs is an Internet-based digital audio management system. It is flexible, customizable, and suitable for any medical environment. Dataworxs is designed and built on Microsoft Windows and SQL server technologies which allows it to easily be integrated into businesses. Dataworxs is completely compliant with all HIPAA regulations. This new software will require all transcriptionists to have direct and constant internet connection to Trans Tech’s server. The constant connection eliminates the need to download recorded voice to a personal PC. This is just another feature to abide by the HIPAA regulations to ensure patient sensitive information is protected. This also allows Trans Tech to process digital dictation files with the utmost attentiveness and expedience.
